Carving Pumpkins

We went outside to pick which pumpkins we wanted to carve. P3 found a new friend and I had to share the story with my siblings who were truly terrified by it.

Halloween Horror Story:

P3 made a new friend and was holding it in his fingers. He showed it to me and wanted to bring it inside. I couldn't tell what kind of bug it was. I made him put it down, and then it slowly unfolded into a spider!!!  Ahhhhh! We watched it limp away and I had to stop P3 from picking it up again.

We were going to carve pumpkins Tuesday night, but PE worked late and I didn't want to tackle it on my own. Wednesday night we had our ward trunk-or-treat at 6 pm. I asked my family if they wanted to come carve pumpkins with us at 4 pm. My parents and sister came over to help. My mom was a saint and even brought dinner. And then stayed and cleaned up after we left for the Trunk-or-Treat. PE met us at the Trunk-or-Treat.

P1 got really into carving his pumpkin. He carved a lizard and an alligator that he drew all by himself.

P3 was excited to carve pumpkins until we actually started carving them. And then he wouldn't touch them. So I carved one for him.

I was running low on creative juices, so I carved "Happy Halloween" in the long pumpkin we had.

P1's alligator and P3's cute jack-o-lantern.

P2's pumpkin:

Another side of P1's pumpkin. He carved 3 different things on his pumpkin.

My dad's pumpkin had a goofy side and a scary side:
