We got some more Break-Out Beasts, and the kids had fun opening them up. Really, P3 is the only one that loves playing with the slime. He thinks it is the best stuff in the world. The other 2 like the dragons, but not the slime.
P3 likes to try to ride on P1. Really, he is just walking along while holding onto his big brother. Dad told P1 that if he would stop, P3 would leave him alone. So P1 just laid on the floor, and P3 had the time of his life climbing on top of him. We finally had to pull P3 off because P1 was getting upset.
P1 had parent-teacher conferences this week. We tried to coordinate with our friends so we could swap the little ones. It didn't really work though, because this time there were stations to rotate through, so we were both in there at the same time. P1 showed me how he can write the numbers 1-15, add and subtract, and read a short book. He did great, and his teacher said that he is doing extremely well in class. He is a great reader, and he is also doing well socially and emotionally. She told me about the time that he had been left in the class bathroom when class was finished. When she realized that he had been left behind, she went back to go get him. When she came into the classroom, he was on the floor in "fervent" prayer. She was very impressed by that, and even shared that story with her son that is on a mission. I am so proud of P1. He is such a good kid and I love being his mom.
P3 helping Dad play a game.
P2 had a field trip with her preschool class. It was to a cute pediatric dentist office in Layton. It was a pretty short field trip, but the kids enjoyed it. After the field trip, we went to lunch with one of P2's preschool friends. That day was also an early out day for kindergarten, but thankfully a friend had offered to pick up P1 for a play date. They even went out to eat like we did. It worked out perfectly!
We took the kids to the Book Fair at the elementary. P1 picked out another Pokemon book, and P2 picked out another Disney Princess book. P3 tried to take home all the books. He was in heaven! We bought him the cheapest book we could find, which was a $2 Star Wars book.
A week or so ago, P1 had Dr. Seuss week at school. When we were at grandma's house, he found all of her Dr. Seuss books and read them by himself! He is really a great reader!
We went to my mom's for a scrapbook workshop. We had lunch there, and the kids did pretty well entertaining themselves. Instead of working on scrapbooks, I ended up doing some work. My supervisor called on Thursday and had some more data he wanted me to organize.
P3 found some chocolate at grandma's house, and gave himself a makeover.
P1 and P2 asked if they could play Smash Brothers. I gave them the controllers, set a time limit, and let them try to play. P1 had it mostly figured out, but P2 needed some help. With Dad's help, she finally started to figure it out. She even won some of the matches!
