Fall Break

For Fall Break we headed down to great-grandma and grandpa's house. They have a pumpkin patch and let us pick out our own pumpkins for free. I've also been wanting to stay a couple days at my grandma's house. We spent a lot of time there as kids, and had many fun sleepovers with cousins. It was nice to go down for a couple of days.

The marbles are always the favorite thing to play with, P3 was laughing hysterically!

P2 loved all the babies and dolls she found at the house:

For breakfast, we had German pancakes, great-grandma's specialty!

P1 hard at work creating a Pokemon mural. He told great-grandma all about Pokemon during our time there.

Picking pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. P1 really got into it this year. P2 picked a couple, and P3 would have been happy to just stay in the van. We filled the back of the van with lots of pumpkins!

We went down to the Farmer's Market. Grandpa has a golf cart that he let the kids ride. They had a hay maze and big slide that the kids enjoyed.

They had some little kittens at the farm. P3 liked them, but P1 and P2 didn't want anything to do with them. My cousin's daughter couldn't get enough of the kittens, and we had to keep rescuing them from her grasp.

It's so fun to see all the beautiful varieties of pumpkins and squash. I believe they grow about 70 different varieties.
