St. Patrick's Day

We had a fun St. Patrick's Day!!! The night before I made a rainbow and a pot of gold for P1 to find. He loved it! And he is still carrying around his gold and playing with it.

For breakfast we made green eggs and ham. That is P1's favorite book right now and we read it a lot! P1 can read a lot of it with you too.

P1 wasn't thrilled about actually eating the green omelet though. We had to read the book a few times and emphasize the part where he finally tries the green eggs and ham and likes them. P1 finally ate some of it and decided it wasn't yucky.

Then we did some coloring:

For lunch we made shamrock quesadillas with spinach tortillas.

For dinner we ate green noodles. It was the mix of colored noodles, which was good because P1 refused to eat the green ones. He really liked the orange ones though. I just did a red meat sauce, but next year I should do a green pesto sauce.

For dessert we had a green Oreo Cookie Bark treat. It was good, but ended up being a pain to make. Maybe we'll just do green jello for next year. Or maybe a green smoothie.

And we ended the night playing Irish jigs on the piano!
