We went to a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. We had a potluck breakfast and each house in the circle hosted an egg hunt for a different age group.
Each family was supposed to drop off a dozen filled eggs by Friday night for each child participating. So I took a bag over on Friday, and P1 was very upset when I didn't come back with it. I explained that in the morning we would come back and go on a treasure hunt for the eggs. He got really excited about it and kept asking if it was time to go get the eggs. In the mornings, he usually wants to keep his pajamas on for a while, but on Saturday morning he wanted to put his clothes on right away so that we could go.
P1 had a blast! The kids were supposed to stop after finding 12 eggs, but he kept on going (so I kept on dropping eggs behind us). He was thrilled that they had treats in them. We ended up putting the treats out of reach after he started helping himself to them. But he is still carrying around the basket and playing with the eggs.
It was really nice and laid back, and it was great to socialize with neighbors. It was also a beautiful day. I'm glad we went!!!
