July Pictures

We ended up signing up the kids for another session of swimming lessons. This time it was twice a week for 4 weeks. They were both in Preschool Level 2. They both loved it and it really helped them be super confident in the water. P1 is doing really well and likes to practice at Grandpa's pool. They didn't end up passing the class, so next time we will do Level 2 again!

We've spent a lot of times at parks this summer. I organize a park day every Friday, and we rotate through different parks in the area.

We did the splash pad one time, and P3 showed no fear! He went right in and loved it!

This is a fun new park in Bountiful, called Creekside Park. The kids really enjoyed it. The best part was playing in the creek down below the park.

P1 wanted to collect rocks, so we compromised and I said we could take pictures of the rocks.

P1 participated in a Balls of Fun class through our cities summer recreation programs. Each day they learned a new ball sport. They tried soccer, basketball, tennis, and baseball. It was a good experience for P1. And we have been practicing some of them at home.

P1 graduated Upstart! It's an online computer preschool that is free in Utah. It has been really good for P1 and has helped him learn how to read! I'm very proud of how much he has learned, and the effort that he has put into it. At the graduation, they take a test so Waterford can see how much the students have learned from the program. Well, it is an adaptive test and since P1 has actually started reading, I guess the test kept giving him big paragraphs to read. So poor P1 was the very last kid to finish. Almost all the other kids and parents had left before he came out. But he had very high scores (1st/2nd grade reading!!!). Our friends little girl also graduated Upstart, so we went to the mall afterwards and got a treat for the kids.

We went to an Indian Food Festival at the Gallivan Center. It was the first year they have done it, and they had a very good turn out. They basically ran out of food, and the lines were huge. Hopefully they can plan better for next year. We had some curry pizza, and mango lassies.

We stopped at the Disney store, and we couldn't resist picking up a little buddy for P3.

P1 built a super tall tower, taller than his bunk bed!
