We did lots of swimming this year. We loved playing in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa's house. A new tradition was born to always eat an ice cream sandwich after swimming. We did it one time, and every time after that the kids would demand a treat after swimming.
P1 does a great job swimming with floaties. P2 still wants someone to hold her. She didn't like the water the first time we went this year, but she warmed up to it.
We also made use of our little swimming pool at our house. Although I think the kids had more fun filling it up than actually playing in it.
I got a new ride! Two new rides actually. But the kids commandeered them and were a new favorite toy for a while.
The kids had their first root beer floats. P1 wasn't a fan.
Fun at the park. P2 still loves the swings.
Lately, P1 always says "I'm tired!" probably because I always say it. So he decided to take a "nap" at the park.
Strawberries were on sale one day, so I decided to try making strawberry jam. The kids enjoyed helping. Unfortunately, during the 30 seconds that I ran to the bathroom, it decided to boil over. Nobody was hurt, but the kids were jumping up and down and were very worried. It was our erupting volcano.
We picked raspberries at Grandma's house. P2 would eat them up faster than we could pick them. P1 was excited to help, but then didn't pick a single one.
We took P1 to the dentist for his 3rd time. He was a champ! He did so great, and let them take x-rays and everything! I took P2 along so that she could see that it wasn't scary. She went for her first time in June, and she did not like it one bit. But it seemed to help see her brother do it, so hopefully next time will be better for her.

All Aboard!!! The kids like to build their own trains and pretend to go places.
