We went to a lot of parks this summer! Our neighborhood did park days every Thursday morning, and we would go to different parks each week.
Relief Society held a Mother and Sons Olympic activity. P1 was really excited to go with me, since I have left him home a lot for Young Women's activities. We went to a park and ate hot dogs and s'mores. They taught us how to play pickle ball, and we also did some kickball. P1 took me to the top of a hill so that we could roll down it.
P1 wasn't too sure about the s'mores because he doesn't like messy food.
We went and feed the ducks a few times over the summer. The kids enjoy it. P1 ends up eating half of the bread that he is supposed to be throwing to the ducks. We even invited my sister along for one duck feeding excursion.
The Primary held an Olympic activity on a Saturday at our neighborhood park. There was an obstacle course, a throwing contest, and races. We learned that we need to get a scooter because everyone except P1 knew how to ride one. We enjoyed popsicles at the end.
