SeaQuest Aquarium

P1's last field trip was to SeaQuest Aquarium in Layton. Since it was more expensive than other field trips, I decided to leave the other two kids with grandma. P1 and I had a really fun time together. The aquarium is very interactive, and you can hold, touch, and feed many animals.

P1's favorite animal was the tortoise. He got to feed the big tortoise, and they had a few little ones that you could hold.

You could put your hands in a pool that had little doctor fish. They eat the dead skin on your hands. It was a very strange sensation. I was proud of P1 for being willing to put his hands in and keep them in! We also feed some fish and sharks. You could feed iguanas and stingrays. The craziest one was feeding the birds. We feed the parakeets, and there were so many of them! You sit in the exhibit, and the worker gives you a cup of birdseed. And then the birds descend! And it is chaos! There are birds landing on your head, and your arms, and just flying everywhere! P1 was very brave, and only a little worried. But no crying or screaming, so success!

It was fun to go with just P1 and spend some one on one time with him. He's a good boy, and I'm glad he's mine!
