We actually made it to the State Fair this year. The day before my due date. PE was planning on the taking the kids, and I decided that I needed to get out of the house. Last year it was miserably hot, but this year the weather was very nice. It stayed overcast, and although we felt a few raindrops here and there, it never really rained on us.
I don't know whose kids these are, but they can't be mine. Even though we have gone to the fair every year, they will NOT touch the animals. We totally have to bribe them to pet the animals. (They won't even touch cute kittens and puppies).
The baby pigs were the the kids' favorite. One of the piglets climbed over all the others in an attempt to get a better spot. The kids were laughing hysterically!
We even went and saw the rodeo! This was their first rodeo. I haven't been to one in a long time. It was fun to watch, and I couldn't help but think that riding in the rodeo would be a great way to break my water.
P1 was sad that we didn't go on any rides this year. But we really spent all our cash on food. (The food is so expensive!!! $14 for a turkey leg!) Next year, I think we should give each kid a certain amount of money and then they can decide how to spend it.
