"Belly Button Hurts"

P1 can eat a lot of food if it is something he decides he likes. We had stroganoff the other night, and I'm pretty sure he had 10 helpings. But when he eats too much, he will get sad and say his belly button hurts. And he'll want me to kiss it better. One time when his "belly button" was hurting, I had him sit on the couch with his blanket and books. So, of course, now that's what we have to do whenever it hurts. Oh, and maybe watch an episode of "Jake and the Neverland Pirates".

P1 has also been harder to deal with during meal time. I think he is just sad that P2 gets more of my attention since she can't really feed herself yet. So P1 will get really sad, and say that his food is "too bigger" (no matter how small I cut it), that it is "yucky", and "mom do it". Even though he can feed himself perfectly well, he insists that it is too hard and I must do it for him. Many tears are shed, and then he'll try to climb on my lap. And he'll ask for a hug in the 3rd person: "P1 needs a hug". Which is pretty adorable. It sure is funny how independent kids are until they realize someone else is getting the attention, and then suddenly they aren't so independent.
