6 Months

P1 turned 6 months old on Saturday! Today at the doctor's he weighed 19 lbs 4oz (80th percentile) and was 28 inches tall (94th percentile)! He did great with his shots again; he only cried for 30 seconds and then he was okay and smiling at the nurses.

P1 is quickly outgrowing all his clothes. He's mostly in the 9-12 month range of clothes now. P1 still doesn't sleep through the night. He must have some crazy dreams, because he's always tossing and turning in his sleep. And he is always sleeping in the most awkward positions. Our favorite is when he is sleeping on his tummy with his little bum in the air.

P1 has finally noticed the bunnies! He gets really excited when he sees them hopping around. And he loves to try to pet them, and then laughs when they run away! They still don't know what to think of him.

P1 loves to read (really he just likes chewing on the book!)

Some of P1's favorite toys include: pens, laundry baskets, cameras, hymn books, keyboards, spoons, and socks.

P1 had his first play date the other day! One of my best friends from high school has a boy about the same age as P1, so we decided we needed to introduce them! P1 had a lot of fun with my friend's baby boy and 3 year old.

P1 also decided he could finally sit up on his own! It's amazing to me when they finally "get" it. He's been trying to sit up on his own for a while now, but usually only would last a few seconds. But at the play date, I sat him up and he was able to stay up on his own!

 P1 is usually a pretty good eater. We are still introducing new foods to him, one at a time. He loves to play with his spoon when he is done eating! Oh, and he does this weird thing where he rubs the back of his head against the high chair. Still don't know what that's all about...

P1 is mobile!!! But still not crawling. ;) Somehow he manages to get all over the place, but it's more a combination of rolling and squirming. He is sooooo close to crawling though if you can't tell by the pictures!

Happy 6 Months my little boy! We love you so much, and life is such a fun adventure with you!!!
